More Great Philadelphia Businesses: Bilenky Bike Works!

Check this fantastic video of Bilenky Bike works that my friend, Alex Mamlet, produced for Blue Moon Brewing Company! I have been to this shop and they do an amazing junk yard race in the dead of winter that is a blast. Great people doing what they probably couldn’t do in the BK without a major investor or budget. Here, we have space and time! Philly is the place to go to follow your dreams and make stuff happen (and still be next door to one of the world’s greatest cities: NYC)!

Favorite Philadelphia Businesses: Quirk Books

QUIRK BOOKS has got to be one of the coolest publishers in the world and it is located right here in Old City Philadelphia on Church Street. Do you have an awesome business that just can’t get to that next level. Maybe a change of address will allow you to pursue that direction that will lead to the breakthrough. Most businesses fail because of external economic factors (like RENT!). Make your life easier. Relocate to Philadelphia!!!

The Market is Still Very HOT Here in Philadelphia

If the price is right, the houses are selling very quickly here in Philadelphia! I have had two houses sell in the first week in the last month! Pent up demand and the want of a bargain? Maybe a little of both. The houses I had weren’t rock bottom prices but prices that made sense. Sometimes being overpriced by just 10K will cause the market to turn it’s cold shoulder to an otherwise wonderful home. Market knowledge is the key. I know what’s up in almost every neighborhood in Philadelphia. I am seeing awesome things all over town: Northern Liberties, Francisville, Brewerytown, Germantown, Roxborough, Passyunk East, Newbold, Point Breeze and my little ville of Mount Airy.

If you think you can’t have it all, come check out Philly. We ain’t perfect but we are pretty damn good!

No Better Time to Fall in Love with Philadelphia

All East Coast towns look pretty in the Fall, but Philadelphia, in my eyes, always looks amazing. I get around more than the average resident but we have a lock on some beautiful stuff: the Parkway, Kelly Drive, Lincoln Drive, Fairmount Park as a whole, the Wissahickon, Morris Arboretum and well, hey, loads more (note the NW bias here)!

This is a great time to escape the madness of NYC and come to Philly to give it a once-over. Tons of easy hotel options (my favorites are Hotel Monaco and the Hotel Palomar). The quiet time before the holidays set in and can get you ready for a spring action move!
